FAQs

I made a mistake! Can I modify my order?

If you need to change your order please reach out to us immediately. If the order has not yet shipped we may be able to change or cancel it. Orders placed after 5pm on Saturday will not ship until Tuesday morning. We may not be able to modify orders shipped directly from the manufacturer.

Do you buy pre-owned skates?

Unfortunately we do not buy or sell pre-owned skates. We are happy to accept donations of pre-owned skates to pass on to skaters in need.

Can you repair my skates?

Yes! We are a skilled team with the knowledge and tools necessary to complete complex jobs. Simple repairs can be done during store hours on a walk-in basis. Our expertise and speed are valuable, and we charge between $5 and $20, depending on the service. We will offer a quote before beginning, prices are subject to change. During busy hours (weekdays after 5pm and Saturdays) we may ask that you drop off your skates and pick them up later. If you have old skates with parts that have been discontinued we may have to special order substitute parts.

For our professional mounting service or any project in which the boot is detached from the plate, expect a 7-10 day turnaround. We charge $20 to unmount the plate and $50 to remount it. Skates will be serviced in the order in which they are received. We usually have multiple mounting projects ongoing at the same time.

I bought some skates for $10 at a thrift store. What do I need to fix to get them rolling again?

In general, you get what you pay for. Most thrifted skates are lower quality to begin with. Over time, the soft rubber and urethane breaks down and requires replacing.

For used, discount skates we usually recommend, at minimum, replacing the cushions ($16-$20) and pivot cups. ($4-$8). You will likely need to replace the wheels ($40+) bearings, ($28+) and toe stops ($10-$20). Including the cost of labor, plan to spend at least $100 to get those skates rolling again.

We are happy to help if you want to go this route, but in our opinion, it is rarely worth the cost and work to repair cheap skates that won't last. Buying an inexpensive starter skate will be a better investment in the hobby.

Antique skates, skates with a leather or suede boot, or unique skates with sentimental value may be worth repairing, but expect extra time for service if they are especially damaged or have obsolete parts.

Can I place an order over the phone?

We prefer that you place orders through our website or in store. This helps us stay organized and fulfill your orders faster.

How do I track my order?

You will receive an automated email once your order has shipped with details on how to track your shipment. If you do not receive this we may have the wrong email address on file. Please Contact Us if you have not received an order/shipping confirmation.

What if my skates are the wrong size?

Every skate brand has different sizing, and all feet are different. Please review size charts and research skate brands before placing your order. r/rollerskating is a great resource. We'll try our best to help you get sized correctly, but if it still isn't a great fit we can assist you in returning or exchanging your skates. See our Return Policy for more details.

Do you ship internationally?

We do not offer international shipping at this time. We are only able to ship within the 48 contiguous states, Hawaii, Alaska, and overseas military addresses. Please review our Shipping Policy for more details. We strongly encourage skaters to support their local skate vendors and purchase roller skates from a retailer in your region.

What is the largest size skate that you sell?

We have a variety of skates in men's size 11 and 12 in stock in store. Usually we have a few low top options available for size 13 and up. If we don't have your size available we are happy to help get you sized and order the correct skate. Keep in mind skates larger than size 10 often have more limited color and style options.
