The 5/16" width is only compatible with bolt on toe stops (e.g. Impala or Candi Girl). Not sure if you need bolt on toe stops or adjustable toe stops? Check your skates! If there is a hole in the center of your stop that a bolt goes through? Then yes you need bolt on!
For most other skates, use 5/8" jam plugs.
