Whether you're revamping a vintage roller skate boot with a modern plate or assembling totally new parts, we're happy to offer our professional mounting service to create the perfect roller skate!
Mounting skates, or attaching the roller skate boot to the plate, takes a bit of practice and can be daunting, even with the proper tools. If you're feeling overwhelmed, consider sending your skates to the pros! Since 2012 we've mounted over 3000 pairs of skates... and counting!
Please Note: Custom Shoe Roller Skates are more complex and require additional time and cost.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does this service take?
We estimate a 7-10 day turnaround from the time we receive your skates. We usually have several pairs we are working on at a time and skates are completed in the order in which they are received. Expect an extra day if your skates require an epoxy fill.
Why does it take so long?
Unlike more simple repair services, we cannot mount skates during store hours. Mounting skates requires our undivided attention to precisely align the plate, carefully drill holes in the correct location, and tighten everything down. A mistake can mean drilling through the side of the heel, or misaligning the plate. The process is noisy and labor intensive. We may get sweaty and frustrated, and we don't want anyone watching us. We offer a 24 hour rush fee (additional $50) if you are pressed for time, but we cannot mount skates while you wait in the store. We reserve the right to decline a rush job for any reason.
What is included?
- $50 is the cost of our expertise and labor.
- Mounting hardware is included in the service fee, but all other hardware must be purchased separately. Most plates include all other necessary hardware.
- Roller Skate Plate Unmount is subject to a separate $20 fee.
- Boots that have been mounted previously have holes that may overlap or not align with the new plate. These may require an epoxy fill, and will incur an additional $10 fee.
